Happy Wednesday!
Life has been so busy that this blog has basically turned into a monthly journal of how the girls are doing. And I’m not complaining! I know this season of life will be short-lived and I’ll have toddlers on my hands before I can blink. It is so bizarre to me that Meredith and Natalie are now nine months old! Technically they’re nine and a half months old because I am two weeks late getting this post up. Oops! Time is flying by and the girls are growing up so fast!
If you missed the girls’ previous monthly updates, you can read them here:

Meredith
Weight/Length: Meredith weighs 16 pounds, 15 ounces and is 27.5. inches long.
Clothing Size: She is in 9 month clothing, but it’s starting to get too small, so we’re transitioning to 12 month clothes. I can’t believe it!
Likes: Crawling. She is all over the place!
Dislikes: RSV. Both babies got RSV this month and it was brutal.
Milestones: Her first tooth came in at the end of December! She also celebrated her first Christmas and New Years! She’s officially crawling and talking too! So far she has said “gaga” and “dada”. It was a big month!

Natalie
Weight/Length: Natalie is 18 pounds, 3 ounces and is 28.3 inches long.
Clothing Size: She is in 9 month clothing, but like her sister, it’s getting too small. We are transitioning to 12 month clothing for her too!
Likes: Talking and laughing. She’s constantly giggling and it is so cute.
Dislikes: RSV. That sickness took down our whole house for 2 weeks and it was not fun!
Milestones: She celebrated her first Christmas and New Years! She also had another tooth come in this month and has said her first word, which was “dada”. She recently started crawling and is getting more mobile by the day!

Both Girls
Sleep: This has not been a great month for sleep. I mentioned that the girls got RSV and it definitely affected their sleep. They were up multiples time a night for hours at a time. Now that they’re feeling better, the night wake ups are getting better, but we still have a ways to go. Here’s to hoping for better sleep next month!
Food/Eating: Meredith and Natalie are still taking four 6-8 ounce bottles a day, plus solids 3 times a day. This month the girls tried pureed peaches, raspberries, blueberries, baby oatmeal, turkey, chicken, and beef. We are preparing to start finger food next month!
Schedule: We have officially transitioned to a 2 nap schedule and I hope this will work for us for awhile! I’m sure we’ll make minor tweaks as the girls stay awake longer but for now this is what their daily schedule looks like:
6:30-7AM: Wake up.
7AM: Bottle, then playtime.
8AM: Snack and purees. Then playtime.
9AM-10:30/11AM: Nap.
11AM: Bottle, then playtime.
12PM: Snack and purees. Then playtime.
1PM-3PM: Nap.
3PM: Bottle, then playtime.
4:30/5PM: Snack and purees. Playtime or go for a walk (depending on the weather).
6PM: Start bedtime routine (may start earlier depending on how naps went that day). This includes a bath if it’s a bath night, lotion, pajamas, bottle, and about 5-10 minutes of floor playtime in their room.
6:30PM: Bedtime.
Mom and Dad: Chris and I are doing great! We have had two date nights over the last month and our goal is to have a date once a month. Hopefully we can make that happen! We saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas concert, which has been on our bucket list since we started dating in 2011! Chris also took me out to dinner at an amazing restaurant called Local Yocal for my birthday. We had a great time!
Now that the girls are on the move we are tag teamming more than ever, but this age is so fun. They are learning something new all the time and Chris and I love being their parents!
And now for more pictures of the babies!
I can’t believe the girls are 9 months old. Time is going by faster every day! I am so thankful to be their mom.
Until next month!
