Hi, my name is Amanda!
I live in Dallas, Texas with my husband, Chris, and our two furbabies, Lyssa and Levi.

I was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) in 2010. After college I half excitedly/half nervously accepted a job offer in Southern California, packed my bags, and moved across the country. While living there, I met the man that is now my husband and a few years later I convinced him Texas was the place to be so we moved back to my home state. We have been in Texas for three years now!
In 2016, our world was turned upside down when Chris was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy and went into kidney failure. It was a very challenging season of life and I struggled through it. We are so thankful he received a kidney from his brother in 2017 and life started to return to a new normal. But that was short lived because a few months later we found out it would be nearly impossible to get pregnant naturally and fertility treatments were our best chance at growing our family. We went through our first IVF cycle in 2018 and are thrilled to be expecting two baby girls in April 2019!
It has been a challenging few years but I have tried not to lose myself in everything that has happened. I am still ME. I love to travel and explore new places. I love food, trying new recipes, and meal planning. I am a total numbers person and I am a little over-the-top about our budget and finances. I try my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I love my family and friends. And I absolutely love the life Chris and I have built together. I am my happiest when I am home with Chris, Lyssa, and Levi.
Those are the topics you can expect to see on my blog and that is what I want this space to be. A true representation of me, my life, and my journey.
I hope you will follow along!
