Happy Monday!
How is today the last day of 2018? It seems like December 31st is always a day of reflection: reflecting on what the previous year held and what we hope the next year will hold. I wrote a similar post last year (check it out HERE) and I decided to do the same thing this year. Lets recap 2018!
January: I turned 30!
February: We celebrated Valentines Day!
March: We went through infertility testing.
April: We checked some things off our Dallas Bucket List.
We went to Broken Bow for the weekend!
May:
We celebrated our two year wedding anniversary!
We took an amazing vacation to Alaska!
June: We started our IVF cycle.
July: We redid our guest bathroom.
August: We did our frozen embryo transfer and found out we are pregnant!
September:
We celebrated Chris and Justin’s 1 year kidney transplant anniversary!
We found out we are having identical twins!
October: We went on a cruise to the Bahamas!
November: We went to San Diego!
We celebrated Thanksgiving
December: We continued to enjoy the holidays and spending time with family and friends!
Overall, 2018 was a roller coaster. We started off the year full of hope. Chris was finally healthy and we were ready to expand our family. Knowing that it would be a hard path, we booked a bucket list trip to Alaska in hopes it would be our “last hurrah” before becoming parents. We started our IVF cycle in June and were so excited to find out that it was successful and we are pregnant! We were able to take a few trips this fall before hunkering down to enjoy the holidays at home. Chris continues to be very healthy and we are heading into 2019 with the same hope we started the year with. We are anxious and excited to meet our baby girls and can’t wait to see what this coming year has in store for us!

See you next year!
