Hello and Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through week!
A quick update on my post from Monday: I am rocking my return to fitness so far this week. I’ve worked out every day, which is a big accomplishment because it requires me to wake up at 5:30 in the morning. And I have also been been pretty good about my eating. So far so good!
Anyways, back to the point at hand… Two weeks ago I started a 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge. I really feel that the holidays are a perfect time to reflect and show my gratitude for all of the positives in my life, so I’m continuing that series today with Part 3. If you missed Part 1 and Part 2 you can check them out HERE and HERE.
Off we go…
Day 15: What season are you grateful for?
Fall! It’s my favorite season. I love when the weather starts cooling down and I can wear sweaters and scarves. It makes me happy!
Day 16: What about your body are you grateful for?
I am grateful that I have a healthy body. Although there are definitely things I don’t love about my body (which I wrote about earlier in the week), I am thankful that overall I am very healthy. After everything we’ve gone through the last year with Chris, I definitely don’t take my health for granted. I am focused on keeping my body in the best shape possible which is why I am trying to get into a new fitness routine.
Day 17: What knowledge are you grateful for?
I’m grateful for the knowledge of how to do successful kidney transplants. That knowledge saved my husband’s life, along with countless other lives. If you are new to the blog, my husband Chris had a kidney transplant in September. His brother selflessly donated his kidney and they are both doing well! Along with the knowledge of how to surgically do a kidney transplant, I am also grateful for the knowledge of how to maintain the donated kidney as long as possible. We have an amazing team of doctors and they really know their stuff!
Day 18: What piece of art are you grateful for?
I’m not sure that this is considered a piece of art but it’s something I see every day that makes me happy. Chris got me this for our 1st anniversary (paper anniversary) and I love it! It highlights all of the ups and downs of our first year of marriage and it’s hanging in our bedroom. So special!
Day 19: What touch are you grateful for today?
Cuddles with Levi! I love our dogs so much, I truly can’t imagine life without them. Levi loves to snuggle and he is happiest cuddled up in my lap.
Day 20: Who in your life are you grateful for?
Oh gosh, how can I pick just one person? I am grateful for so many people in my life: I have an amazing support system of family and friends. But if I have to pick one person I am most grateful for, that person is Chris. He is truly my rock and my soulmate. I can tell him anything and everything, without reservation or judgment. He loves me and supports me unconditionally and I am thankful every day for him.
Day 21: What song are you most grateful for?
I don’t know if I am most grateful for this song but Chris and I have several songs that remind us of each other and one of those is “Die A Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett. That was our first dance song at our wedding and that song will always have a special place in my heart.
Well, that wraps up this week’s 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge. Next week will be the final post in this series, so stay tuned for that. And please join me in this challenge by commenting below!

Such a lovely, inspiring list of places to look when you need to add a little gratitude to your attitude ♡. I’m grateful for my husband and the rest of my lovely family. For my health – which is the best it’s been in years. For my sweet cat (who’s purring at my side as we speak). And for myself – all of my resilience and whimsy and all the goodness I’ve accomplished. Wishing you well ????
