Happy Friday!
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Friday Favorites post. I loved reminiscing about our trip to Alaska but it’s time to come back to the real world. Vacation doesn’t last forever!
Today’s Friday Favorites is a little bit different, because I am focusing on one topic: healthy skin. Over the last month my skin has been absolutely terrible! I’m breaking out like a teenager going through puberty and it is incredibly frustrating. I thought I was in a good skincare routine of washing my face and applying toner and moisturizer every morning and evening. But all of a sudden that doesn’t seem to be working anymore.
Luckily my brother-in-law’s girlfriend is knowledgeable with this stuff and she suggested I try a few products and they have worked wonders! So I thought I would share them today on Friday Favorites.
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides: I had heard of this product before, but never actually bought it. And now I’m kicking myself for not buying it sooner. I noticed a huge difference within one week! I put one scoop of collagen in my coffee every morning and it has helped clear my skin up so much. Definitely try this one!
Indian Healing Clay Mask: This mask is awesome. You combine the clay powder with apple cider vinegar or water (I use apple cider vinegar) and put the mixture on your face. I leave it on until it dries, usually 20 minutes or so, and then wash it off with hot water. While the mask is on, I can feel my skin pulsing which means it’s working, right? Afterward, I make sure to put on lots of moisturizer. This mask has made a huge difference in my skin. I am using it about 2 times a week right now and I love it!
Ozark Insulated Steel Tumbler: Another tip for better skin is to drink a ton of water! I drink about 100 oz a day right now and I think that’s definitely helping my skin. I get bored drinking plain water, so I add in fruit or La Croix to keep things interesting. I also really like to drink out of my Ozark tumbler because it keeps my water ice cold and I prefer cold water. Room temperature water is just not for me. Sometimes I put even put frozen fruit in my tumbler and that keeps my water cold too! Whatever you have to do to drink lots of water, right?
I’d be lying if I said I haven’t had any breakouts since incorporating these items into my skincare routine, but my breakouts have been significantly better. Even Chris has noticed and commented on how my skin is clearer, so that’s a definite compliment!
If you’re struggling with breakouts and skincare like I am, see if any of these products make a difference! They definitely did for me.

Nice suggestions here. I love clay masks for skin. I have dry skin and cannot use bentonite clay; however, rose clay is a good one for those with drier skin. I heard about collagen from a relative, but not this brand. I am allergic to seafood and have to be careful with supplements. Thanks for sharing!!
